Linnet, Signi
Residents of Linnet were treated to a breathtaking celestial display last night as the Northern Lights unexpectedly lit up the misty hills. Known for its low, rolling fog and dense forests, Linnet rarely gets clear enough skies for such a phenomenon, making this a once-in-a-lifetime sight for many locals.
“I stepped outside to lock up the shop, and suddenly, the whole sky was glowing green and purple,” said Isaac Moreau, owner of Fog & Fern Café. “At first, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.”
The Signi Weather Bureau confirmed that an unusual solar storm allowed the auroras to be visible this far south. Social media quickly filled with photos and videos as families, hikers, and night-shift workers gathered outside to watch the colors dance through the mist.
“It was like the forest itself was glowing,” said Emilia Hart, a local artist who rushed to sketch the scene. “Linnet always feels magical, but this was something else.”
By morning, the lights had faded, leaving behind only a lingering hush of wonder—and more than a few sleepy but smiling locals.
